Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By Car On US-1 In South Brevard, Victim Identified

A 30-year-old Barefoot Bay man was killed Saturday night after a car struck him on US-1 near Snug Harbor Way in Barefoot Bay.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – A 30-year-old Barefoot Bay man was killed Saturday night after a car struck him on US-1 near Snug Harbor Way in Barefoot Bay.

The victim has been identified as Robert Tobianski.

Florida Highway Patrol and rescue units responded to the call around 8:40 p.m. about a pedestrian who was struck dead on US-1 near Snug Harbor Way.

Troopers say the investigation has revealed Tobianski was sitting in the outside lane for an unknown reason when the driver of 2008 Chevy Malibu hit Tobianski.

The driver of the vehicle, 86-year-old Howard Crossan from Barefoot Bay, was not injured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
