The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is currently working a death investigation after a 32-year-old man was shot in Port St. John with a .22 caliber air rifle and later died at the hospital on Thursday.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is currently working a death investigation after a 32-year-old man was shot in Port St. John with a .22 caliber air rifle and later died at the hospital on Thursday.

The preliminary investigation has revealed that deputies responded to a call requesting medical assistance around 10:05 p.m. on the 700 block of Lindsay Avenue in Port St John.

When deputies arrived, they discovered a man had shot a 32-year-old man with an air rifle.

The man was transported to the hospital, where he later died.

The name of the victim is not being released at this time as authorities continue to investigate the incident, according to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.
