BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville Police will be highly visible patrolling the city streets during the 2019 St. Patrick’s Day holiday weekend celebrations as part of a proactive effort to prevent impaired driving.

In conjunction with the Florida Department of Transportation’s March safety campaign, “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over,” Titusville Police Officers will be on high alert for impaired drivers beginning Friday, March 15 through Sunday, March 17.

Officers will provide a constant law enforcement presence along the major roadways promoting our goal of improved traffic safety and discouraging buzzed and drunk drivers.

Drivers are encouraged to:

  • Drive sober; never drive impaired. Buckle up, every time.
  • If you do drink, plan ahead. Use a sober driver or a ride service for transportation needs.
  • If you see an impaired driver on the road call police at (321) 264-7800. This could save a life.

“Impaired driving puts drivers, passengers and pedestrians at risk”, said Traffic Officer Austin Quinn.

“There is no excuse for impaired driving, always remember to designate before you celebrate.”
