Edgewater Man Arrested By ICE-Brevard-Volusia Child Exploitation Task Force For 30 Counts of Child Porn

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – A 37-year-old Edgewater resident was arrested Friday and charged with 30 counts of possessing child pornography.

Christopher Skowronski, 37, was arrested and charged with possessing photos and videos depicting sexual performance of a child.

Detectives found 236 electronic images and videos in the defendant’s possession. The images portrayed girls between less than a year to 9 years old in sexually explicit situations.

Detectives with the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office’s Child Exploitation Unit began investigating Skowronski in November 2018.

On Jan. 10, 2019, the VCSO and the ICE-Brevard-Volusia Child Exploitation Task Force executed a search warrant at his home.

Skowronski’s electronic devices were seized by authorities for forensic examination and detectives interviewed him.

An arrest warrant was issued Friday. Skowronski was taken into custody Friday afternoon and transported to the Volusia County Branch jail. He is being held on $300,000 bail.

More charges are possible as detectives search for any additional potential victims of sexual exploitation.
