BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Following a record-breaking performance in the win over Lenoir-Rhyne this past weekend, Dan Flock has been named the SSC Men’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week. This is his fifth time receiving the award.

The senior goalie made a program single-game record 23 saves to guide Florida Tech to a 12-10 neutral site victory over the Bears Saturday in Savannah, Ga.

Flock faced 48 shots in the game and finished with a save percentage of .697. He also picked up four ground balls and caused one turnover in the game.

For Flock, the win is the 18th of his Florida Tech career, tying him atop the program record-book with Eric Biller for most wins by a goalie.

Through four games this season, the Ellicott City, Maryland product is averaging 14.75 saves per game and has a .608 save percentage, both rank second in the SSC. He is also third in the league with an 8.94 goals against average.

Following a 17-day layoff, Florida Tech returns to action on Tuesday, Mar. 19, hosting Nichols College at 3 p.m. at Panther Field.
