Rear Admiral James Hart to Keynote at Daughters of the American Revolution Meeting March 18

Rear Admiral James M. Hart will be the guest speaker at the Abigail Wright Chamberlin Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution monthly meeting on March 18 at 10 a.m.

BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – Rear Admiral James M. Hart will be the guest speaker at the Abigail Wright Chamberlin Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution monthly meeting on March 18.

The meeting will be held at the Holiday Inn Viera at 10:30 a.m.

Rear Admiral Hart will be giving an update of the Space Coast Honor Flight. Honor Flight’s mission is to take war veterans to visit their War Memorials in Washington D.C.

The trip is provided free of charge and provides a unique way to honor the Hero’s who made it possible for us to enjoy the freedoms we have today.

Rear Admiral Hart resides in Vero Beach with his wife Carolyn. He spent 33 years in U.S. Navy and another 5 years with U.S. Africa Command as a Deputy Director.

During his Navy career, he deployed on 8 Aircraft Carriers and was assigned to 6 squadrons. He commanded at the Squadron, Air Wing and Joint Task Force levels.

As a Naval Flight Officer, he participated in the Cold War Bosnia, Kosovo and Iraq conflicts.

ABOVE VIDEO: Space Coast Honor Flights, which was recognized as a 2014 humanitarian organization, honor that spirit and the courage that accompanies it. The program was created in appreciation of the unassuming heroes who made incredible sacrifices in order to ensure America’s freedom.

In retirement, he joined the Board of the Space Coast Honor Flight where he serves as the Veteran Coordinator. Space Coast Honor Flight is dedicated to taking WWII, Korean War and Vietnam Veterans to Washington DC to see their Memorials.

The Abigail Wright Chamberlin Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution is a nonprofit, nonpolitical volunteer women’s service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and securing America’s future through better education for children.

Any woman 18 years or older who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution is eligible for membership.
