Temporary Water Shut Off and Boil Water Notice Planned Monday in Barefoot Bay

On March 11 water will be turned off 8:30 a.m. to noon

The planned relocation of a water main as part of a stormwater improvement project in Barefoot Bay will require water to be shut off, followed by a precautionary boil water notice.

BREVARD COUNTY • BAREFOOT BAY, FLORIDA – The planned relocation of a water main as part of a stormwater improvement project in Barefoot Bay will require water to be shut off, followed by a precautionary boil water notice.

Will affect residents living in the following areas beginning on Monday, March 11:

  • Kiwi, Sapodilla, Lynchee, Persimmon, Loquat, Macadamia, Longan, Avacado, Citron, Sapote, Akee and Kumquat drives.
  • Tamarind and Papaya circles.
  • Almond and Fig courts.
  • Sebastian Road.

If you do not live at addresses at one of these locations, you are not affected by this boil water notice.

On Monday, March 11, water will be turned off from approximately 8:30 a.m. to noon.

Once the water service is restored, Brevard County Utilities advises, as a precaution, that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes by boiling. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used.

The precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink. For more information, contact Brevard County Utility Services Department at 321-952-4610.
