BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – Alyssa Carrillo and Jessica Patterson (wearing sunglasses) with Brevard Zoo’s Sea Turtle Healing Center release green sea turtles Doozy and Rose’ in the ocean off Lori Wilson Park in Cocoa Beach on Tuesday as about 200 beachgoers looked on.

Carrillo is carrying Doozy.

A lethargic Doozy was pulled from the Port Canaveral channel near the Cruise Terminal 3 construction site last December and had been receiving treatment for intestinal parasites at the zoo’s healing center.

Rose’ was found hooked near the Cocoa Beach Pier and had been at the center since February.
