ALERT: Traffic Patterns On Hickory Street Will Change April 8 Upon Completion of Road Work

Traffic on Hickory Street from Oak Street to Hibiscus Boulevard will become southbound only

Traffic on Hickory Street from Oak Street to Hibiscus Boulevard will become southbound only. Northbound traffic on Hickory Street will be detoured to Apollo Boulevard, Sheridan Road and the Oak Street roundabout accordingly. (City of Melbourne image)

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – On Monday, April 8, pending completion of this week’s road work at the Hibiscus and Hickory Street intersection, traffic patterns on Hickory Street will change.

The patterns will change as follows: 

  • Traffic on Hickory Street from Oak Street to Hibiscus Boulevard will become southbound only. Northbound traffic on Hickory Street will be detoured to Apollo Boulevard, Sheridan Road and the Oak Street roundabout accordingly.
  • East Sheridan Road will be closed at Hickory Street. Access to businesses on E. Sheridan Road must use alternate route off Hibiscus Boulevard.
  • The roundabout at Hickory/Oak Street will be open at all times. All driveways will be accessible.
