BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Space Coast Associates for the Advancement of Zymurgy (SAAZ) will host the 7th Annual Bottoms Up Beer Run on June 9 at Wickham Park. The Bottoms Up Beer Run is a fun 4K that combines running (or walking) with homebrew along the way.

Brewers from SAAZ will provide four different homebrews along the race course. Participants at least 21-years-old can consume four beer shots during the race and choose their favorite for a full pint at the finish.

Those under 21 cannot drink the beer but can still join in the fun. And if running and drinking is not your thing, there will have water along the course too.

The race is professionally timed by the Running Zone so you can race your way through quickly to a personal best or take your time sipping along the way and laugh at how long it took you to do a 4K.

Online registration is available by clicking HERE.

In-person registration is at the Running Zone store on Wickham Road. Individuals may also register race day between 4:30-5:30 p.m.

The race is capped at 400 participants and every runner will get a T-shirt and a bottle opener medal. Those 21-years-old and over will be able to consume two beers along the course, water is also available.

You do not have to drink to participate. Post-race refreshments are available and proceeds from the race benefit SAAZ and St. Baldrick’s Foundation.

In the last six years, the race has raised $25,000 for St. Baldrick’s, thanks to the generosity of runners and sponsors.

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity dedicated to raising money for life-saving childhood cancer research and funds more in childhood cancer grants than any organization except for the U.S. government. Since 2000, St. Baldrick’s has funded over $20 million in childhood cancer research grants.
