BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Tech softball (33-10, 17-7 SSC) reached a new all-time high ranking as the team garnered No. 5 in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) poll, announced Wednesday, April 17.

The team has also been touted No. 2 in the south region only behind No. 1, both in the nation and region, West Florida.

Tech climbed up five spots from last week’s poll thanks to a sweep of Nova Southeastern in which the Panthers outscored the Sharks, 16-4, over the three-game series.

The Crimson and Gray is the only Sunshine State Conference team to be in the top 25 as Rollins dropped out and is now only receiving votes.

Florida Tech will be back on the field Thursday, April 18, when they head to Lakeland, Florida, for the annual series against Florida Southern.
