BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – A Brevard County Grand Jury indicted 39-year-old Stefanie Dobson for First Degree Premeditated Murder in connection with the killing of her 59-year-old mother Susan Dobson at the Harvard Condominiums in Melbourne on January 13, 2018.

According to the investigation, Dobson was arrested for second-degree murder five days after she provided investigators with inconsistent statements about the discovery of her mother’s body.

Forensic evidence ultimately linked her to the crime scene.

Police then discovered that Susan Dobson had been brutally bludgeoned to death with a blunt object.

In the months following her arrest, Melbourne Police investigators worked closely with prosecutors to develop additional evidence of Dobson’s involvement, the cruel brutal nature of the killing, and premeditation leading to the murder.
