WATCH LIVE: SpaceX is set to launch its Falcon Heavy rocket from Kennedy Space Center Pad 39A. The launch window opens at 6:35 p.m. and closes at 8:31 p.m. SpaceX will attempt to pull off the world’s first successful triple rocket landing during the company’s first commercial Falcon Heavy flight mission.

BREVARD COUNTY • KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FLORIDA – The launch of the Falcon Heavy scheduled Wednesday evening has been rescheduled for 6:35 p.m. EDT Thursday.

Heavy will lift off at Kennedy Space Center carrying the Arabsat 6A communications satellite.

The launch window was originally set for 6:35 p.m. local time Wednesday, but pushed the launch back twice due to upper-level wind shear.

SpaceX announced it has scrubbed the launch about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

In addition to the launch, SpaceX will attempt to land Falcon Heavy’s side boosters at Landing Zones 1 and 2 while Falcon Heavy’s center core will attempt to land on ‘Of Course I Still Love You’ droneship during the Arabsat-6A mission.

According to SpaceFlight Now, Arabsat 6A will provide Ku-band and Ka-band communications coverage over the Middle East and North Africa regions, as well as a footprint in South Africa.

The Arabsat 6A communications satellite is made by Arabsat of Saudi Arabia.

The Falcon Heavy will be the second Falcon Heavy launch since last year’s historic launch which was heralded as the most powerful operational rocket in the world by a factor of two.
