BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – For more than 27 years, Mike Erdman Nissan, Toyota and Cadillac have been an integral part of the Brevard County Community. However, Mike and Freddie Erdman are about so much more than selling cars and trucks.

Serving others is the Erdman philosophy of life. This is true not just in business but also in their family.

In fact, there probably isn’t a person reading this that hasn’t heard a story of kindness and generosity or known or been a part in some way of all that Mike and Freddie Erdman have done, and do, on the Space Coast and beyond.

The Erdman’s involvement with non-profit organizations is distinguished by community effort and Christian-based values.

Every event Mike and Freddie are a part of, like the Erdman Automotive Golf Invitational, is done to raise money for the community, and their Christian beliefs are the foundation for how they live their lives, run their family, raise their children, operate their business and serve their community.

For over a dozen years the Erdman Automotive Group has been the title sponsor for the Friday Night Locker Room, which has delivered hundreds of youth and high school sporting events on radio and now on Space Coast Daily TV.

Mike and Freddie have seven children who are all successful in their own way and have all been raised to feel as loved and as important as the sibling that came before or after them.

“I’m very proud of all seven of my kids,” said Mike Erdman, a graduate of the University of Georgia and a huge “Dawgs” fan. “All my kids are student-athletes. They’ve all excelled in all they’re doing and they all support each other.”

For more than 27 years the Erdmans have contributed love, time and money to various sports programs and programs that help to deliver sports to the Brevard County community. They were instrumental in establishing and continue to support the Pop Warner youth football program on the Space Coast.

Mike and Freddie, far right, are co-chairs on The Build to Service leadership team at Melbourne Central Catholic High School where all seven of the Erdman children attended or attend and excelled in high school. Recently, the new Erdman Automotive Athletic Field House opened, providing a new training facility for baseball, soccer, football, track & field, lacrosse and cross country.

SPORTS PHILANTHROPISTS

For over a dozen years the Erdman Automotive Group has been the title sponsor for the Friday Night Locker Room, which has delivered hundreds of youth and high school sporting events on radio and now on Space Coast Daily TV.

“Mike and Freddie Erdman are two of the most giving people I have ever known,” said Friday Night Locker Room President Steve Wilson.

“The Erdmans are not just supporters of youth sports, or parents that work in the concession stand, which they do, but also support Brevard County youth and school athletics in every facet.”

The honors and accolades are countless, but if you know Mike and Freddie then you know the impetus behind their generosity and commitment to giving back to the community is simply because it’s “the right thing to do.”

When asked why giving back is so important to them, Freddie Erdman said, “It’s life, that’s what it’s about. We love Brevard County, we love our community, we are so glad to be here and anything we can do for the community we are all on board.”

The Erdman’s believe the best is yet to come. Later this year a brand new Toyota and Nissan dealership will open at I-95 and U.S. Highway 520 in Cocoa. While the goal is always to succeed in selling more vehicles, building the new dealership is as much about taking care of their employees, whom they consider family.

While the Erdmans will tell you they are the blessed ones there is no doubt the Brevard County community is equally blessed to have Mike and Freddie serving and calling the Space Coast home.
