Sheriff Ivey previews his busy calendar of events

ABOVE VIDEO: It’s time for Space Coast Daily TV’s This Week with Brevard Sheriff Wayne Ivey and the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office. Each week, Sheriff Ivey previews what he and the 1,500 men and women of the BCSO will be doing in the community, and the different events the Sheriff’s Office will participate in throughout the week. Hosted by Space Coast Daily’s Alan Zlotorzynski.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Welcome to This Week With Sheriff Wayne Ivey and the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office on Space Coast Daily TV where Sheriff Ivey previews his calendar of events as well as where members of BCSO will be interacting with citizens and events throughout the Space Coast. 

On Monday, Sheriff Ivey discussed how his Crime Prevention Team helped Asbury Arms residents make Easter baskets for underprivileged kids.

On Tuesday, Sheriff Ivey and the Crime Prevention Team will be doing Milk and Donuts at Sabal Elementary in Melbourne.

Sheriff Ivey will be speaking at the NASA Retirees Luncheon at the KSC Visitor Center, and the Crime Prevention Team will be teaching Active Shooter Lunch and Learns in Titusville and also at Crosswinds Youth Services.

The Crime Prevention will lead Jail Tours for teenagers that need a little eye-opening experience and Sheriff Ivey will be celebrating National Telecommunicators Week at Mark Pieloch’s Muscle Car Museum.

On Wednesday, Sheriff Ivey will be at the Inmate Work Farm for potato harvesting and will then visit a favorite restaurant to film a new episode of “Cooking Up Justice.”

The Crime Prevention Team will be speaking at several different events throughout the day about Active Shooters, Identity Theft and also about Situational Awareness at 1:30 at the City of Satellite Beach Civic Center and the Sheriff will filming “Riding Shotgun.”

On Thursday, Sheriff Ivey and members of BCSO will be in Torch Run for Special Olympics. He will then speak at the Shriner’s Fundraiser for the Shriner’s Childrens Hospital, presenting “Making A Difference, the Legacy We Leave Behind,” which is open to the public.

The Crime Prevention Unit will be speaking on Personal Safety in Merritt Island and Cyber Bullying.

On Friday, training for school board members from across the state will be here to discuss School Security.

The Sheriff will then be at Main Street Philly in Titusville, a new tradition at noon where patrons will join the staff in honoring our country each and every day

On Saturday, the Sheriff will host a new annual Audible Easter Egg Hunt that BCSO is hosting for visually impaired children and adults. This great new event will take place at Viera High School starting at 10 p.m.
