Cocoa PD spends many hours each year training officers how to recognize autism

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – The Cocoa Police Department partnered with Florida Vehicle Wraps in Melbourne and Puzzle Box Academy in Palm Bay for an Autism Awareness Campaign.

The Cocoa Police Department thanked the Puzzle Box Academy and Florida Vehicle Wraps for turning their patrol car into a conversation tool about autism.

The officer assigned to this vehicle has a daughter with autism so they asked to have her initials be part of the design.

The Cocoa police spends many hours each year training officers on how to recognize autism and respond appropriately.
