BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is currently seeking certified Law Enforcement Officers to help us keep Brevard County safe.

We have a reputation for excellence and are looking for other criminal justice professionals who would like to become part of our BCSO Family.

Our Deputy Sheriffs provide a variety of functions, from patrolling our communities to taking on any of our numerous specialty assignments such as Field Training Officer, Agricultural and Marine Patrol, Aviation, Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT), Criminal Investigations (Narcotics, Homicide, Financial Crimes, Sex Crimes, General Crimes, Computer Forensics, Domestic Violence), Fugitive Apprehension, Training, K-9, Traffic Enforcement, Dive Team, Explosive Ordinance Disposal, School Security, Courthouse Security and both federal and local Task Force partnerships.

Our agency offers a competitive annual starting rate of $40,123 to $44,408 (with prior experience) and all certified candidates with over two years of prior law enforcement experience receive an additional one-time $3,000 hiring bonus.

Patrol Deputies will also receive shift differential pay respective to their assigned shift beginning in October 2019.

In addition, we have a generous benefits package that includes medical and life insurance, paid vacation, sick leave, and holiday leave, college tuition reimbursement and participation in the Florida Retirement System.

Certified applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• Minimum of 20 years of age
• U.S. Citizen
• High school diploma or state equivalent
• No felony convictions
• Meet physical fitness and medical standards, including hearing and visual
• Comprehensive background investigation
