Florida Tech Panthers Defeat Rollins 7-1, Senior Jacob Buser Goes 5-for-5

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Tech went up against Rollins for another conference showdown. The Panthers were able to handle business as they defeated the Tars 7-1.

Colin Cristello made his last start has a Panther today against the Tars. He dominated the Tars lineup pitching seven impressive innings allowing six hits, no runs, two walks, and six strikeouts. With this performance Cristello improves his record to 4-3 on the season.

Offensively, the Panthers bats certainly showed up in today’s game as they recorded 14 hits in the win. The senior Jacob Buser went 5-for-5 today with a run, two stolen bases and a RBI. Buser’s batting average improves to .339 ranking 3rd on the team.

Brett Parrish continues to be an offensive threat for the Panthers as he went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and a walk. Parrish continues to lead the Panthers in average (.351), OPS (.954), and triples (3).

Raul Quintero went 3-for-4 with two RBI’s to help the Panthers earned the victory. His two RBI single came in the 7th extending the Panthers lead 4-0. Quintero’s average improves to .346 and tallied his 20th RBI of the season.

Panthers are hoping to take the series against Rollins tomorrow and finish the season strong. The Crimson and Gray will square up at 1 p.m. at Andy Seminick-Les Hall Filed.
