BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Former Florida Tech wide receiver Romell Guerrier inked an undrafted free agent contract with the Denver Broncos.

Guerrier is the second Panther to sign with an NFL franchise following the conclusion of the 2019 NFL Draft on Saturday, and the fourth overall in program history.

J.T. Hassell signed with the Cleveland Browns late Saturday evening, while Manny Abad (Titans) and Gabe Hughes (Dolphins) earned deals over the last few years.

The Miami, Florida product set the Gulf South Conference on fire during the 2018 season.

The redshirt-senior finished first in the GSC in receptions (59), receptions per game (4.9), receiving yards (1,062), receiving yards per game (88.5), and receiving touchdowns (13). Guerrier also ranked eighth in the league in average yards per catch (18.0).

His impressive play earned him First Team All-GSC honors as well as Honorable Mention All-American laurels from the Don Hansen Football Committee. Guerrier was also named to the D2CCA All-Region 2 First Team.

Guerrier broke the program’s single-season record for touchdown receptions this season with 13 in 2018. His 1,062 receiving yards this year rank second all-time in program history, while his 59 receptions rank third in the single-season record book.

Guerrier is set to head to Denver in a few days and will begin rookie mini-camp on May 10.
