SPACE COAST DAILY TV: The Friday Night Locker Room’s Steve Wilson brings you the City of Cocoa’s Memorial Day Ceremony, LIVE from Riverfront Park in Cocoa.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – The 14th Annual City of Cocoa Memorial Day Tribute will be held Monday, May 27 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Cocoa Riverfront Park, located at 401 Riveredge Boulevard.

Come out to Riverfront Park in Cocoa Village for the annual Memorial Day Celebration.

Retired U.S. Air Force Col. Bob Harvey was the Master of Ceremonies and Capt. Ed Lani was the Keynote speaker.

The event begins with a Military Parade through the streets of Cocoa Village.

The parade then ends in the side field of Riverfront Park along Harrison Street where parade participants will display in the side field as part of the static display portion of the event and feature displays from various reenactment groups and military groups.

The formal stage presentation and tribute event will begin on the main stage in Riverfront Park at 6:45 p.m. and feature guest speakers, a flag folding ceremony, 21 gun salute, playing of taps, a moment of silence and much more.

Riverfront Park highlights two Medal of Honor recipient statues, including Emory L. Bennett who died in combat in 1951, and Sergeant First Class Melvin Morris who was awarded the honor by President Barack Obama in 2014 for his valorous actions in combat in Vietnam in 1969.
