Titusville PD Receives Enforcement Award from the Bicycle and Trails Advisory Committee

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – The Titusville Police Department was awarded the 2018 Enforcement Award from the Bicycle/Pedestrian and Trails Advisory Committee of the Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization for the agency’s proactive traffic safety initiatives.

Deputy Chief Todd Hutchinson and Lieutenant Tyler Wright accepted the award on behalf of the department on Thursday, May 9 at the monthly Governing Board meeting at the Brevard County Government Center in Viera.

Titusville was recognized for their yearlong dedication to pedestrian and motorist safety by providing specialized traffic enforcement details in school zones, traffic safety social media posts and public service announcements emphasizing safe driving practices.

‘Our Officers are highly committed to our traffic safety initiatives,” said Deputy Chief Hutchinson.

“They work extremely hard to keep our roadways as safe as possible.”
