BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – In the latest edition of ‘Ride Shotgun,’ Sheriff Wayne Ivey rides shotgun with Deputy Candace Watson in the of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputy Watson patrols the East Precinct of Brevard County and reflected on what made her get into law enforcement.

“One of the my best friends went into law enforcement before me, I was actually going to go into nursing, but she was saying how she loved it and that I should go into it. I applied to the Sheriff’s Office as a Sheriff’s Aid from then on I went into the academy and here I am.”

In June, it will be her fifth year with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

As a Rockledge native, Deputy Watson loves her job and helping those who are in need of help.
