WEATHER ALERT! National Weather Service Has Issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning For Brevard

HAZARD: 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail

The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for northeastern Indian River County in east central Florida and southeastern Brevard County in Florida until 7 p.m.

BREVARD COUNTY • NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE –  The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for northeastern Indian River County in east central Florida and southeastern Brevard County in Florida until 7 p.m.

At 6:14 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles south of Palm Bay, moving east at 25 mph.

Another severe thunderstorm was located over Malabar, moving east at 25 mph.

These storms will cross Interstate 95 between Malabar Road and the Brevard-Indian River County line.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected.

Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include Palm Bay, Sebastian, Malabar, Roseland and Barefoot Bay. HAIL…1.00IN WIND…60MPH
