BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Gov. Ron DeSantis visited Merritt Island on Monday to sign a bill aimed to give students the necessary skills to join the workforce on the Space Coast.
Gov. Ron DeSantis signed the bill at the Space Florida offices and referenced his hope that the new measure will assist students in their pursuit of aerospace research, investment, exploration and commerce.
“I think this bill is a step in the right direction,“ said Gov. Ron DeSantis.
The President of Space Florida emphasized that having Governor’s support is important as the Space Industry embarks on new future developments.
“Florida’s continued financial commitment to space infrastructure and aerospace programs allows the State to remain the world leader in the industry,” said Space Florida President and CEO Frank DiBello.
