SPACE COAST DAILY TV: The Friday Night Locker Room’s Steve Wilson and Orville Susong had a chance to catch Anja and the Dreamers performance at IndieCon 2019. Members of the all-girl, rock ‘n roll band are Anja Conklin, Elissa Gilbert and Clara Padden. Wilson talked with the trio after their performance.
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Friday Night Locker Room’s Steve Wilson and Orville Susong had a chance to catch Anja and the Dreamers performance at IndieCon 2019.
The all-girl, rock ‘n roll band is made up of Brevard natives and is one of the most requested bands in central Florida.
Members of the group include guitar/keyboards and lead vocals – Anja Conklin; bass guitar and harmony – Elissa Gilbert; and drummer – Clara Padden.
They have been playing together off and on for the past seven years, but started performing in their current format as Anja and the Dreamers in early 2017.
The band performs a lot of their own music and Conklin has already copyrighted more than 100 of her songs. She spends a great deal of time writing, collaborating and performing.
Anja and the Dreamers have already opened for such groups as Molly Hatchet and Iron Butterfly.
Conklin, Gilber and Padden will be going on tour to Los Angeles, California, in late Juneto perform 13 days in 14 nights at various locations.
