BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard Sheriff Wayne Ivey announced that a Pennsylvania man has been arrested and indicted on attempting to entice a minor online for sexual activity.

The suspect is identified as a 51-year-old Thomas Rowland from Abington, Pennsylvania.

Sheriff Ivey says the suspect was communicating with an undercover agent and was wanting to meet with a child for the purposes of sexually abusing the child.

The suspect reportedly sent pictures of sex toys that he would use during the sexual encounter.

The suspect traveled from Pennsylvania to meet with the undercover agent at Orlando International Airport where he would try to travel to Brevard to carry out his alleged crimes against a child.

“This is truly a disgusting individual, who at the time of his arrest, was traveling with a suitcase that contained multiple items that he would use to facilitate the sexual abuse against a child,” said Sheriff Wayne Ivey.

If convicted, the suspect could face life in prison.

The investigation was conducted by Brevard County Sheriff’s Office and Department of Homeland Security.
