BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – On behalf of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office and the Veteran’s Memorial Center, “Thank You” for all you did to make today’s Independence Day Parade in Merritt Island such a huge success!

I would like to personally thank every one who participated in today’s parade as well as thank all of the businesses and groups that entered vehicles and organizations into the parade line-up. Your participation made our first parade a tremendous success and extremely enjoyable for our citizens.

I want to also send a huge “thank you” to all of the attendees along the parade route for their show of patriotism and appreciation for our great nation and the parade participants.

It was an awesome feeling to see everyone standing together along the parade route wearing their red, white and blue and cheering as we all celebrate our great country together.

And of course I want to thank all of the volunteers at the Veteran’s Memorial Center and all of the members of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office who made today’s event possible.

Your service and dedication to our country and our community is amazing!

God Bless America

– Sheriff Wayne Ivey
