Four Florida Tech Tennis Players Tabbed to Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team

Louisy and Zisis Tegos both earned their fourth straight nod

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Tech men’s tennis player’s Tjimon Louisy, Kleanthis Zisis Tegos, James Finnigan and Maciej Sobolewski were named to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic team.

The team was also grabbed the combined honor for its incredible cumulative grade point average (GPA).

The criteria to be selected as All-Academic as a team they must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.

While individuals must be a varsity letter winner, a GPA of 3.5 or higher for the academic year and been enrolled at the university for at least two semesters.

Louisy and Zisis Tegos both earned their fourth straight nod as they round out their careers. Kleanthis was the only one out of the four honorees that had a perfect 4.0 GPA over the entire 2018-19 academic year.

Finnigan and Sobolewski were on the opposite end of the spectrum as these two were bestowed their first ITA All-Academic nod as a Panther. Maciej did follow Zisis Tegos’ lead in the Spring as he too earned a 4.0 GPA after he posted a 3.64 in the Fall term.
