BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – This past week maintenance workers along I-95 in Grant located a very young fawn by the roadway while they were working.

Fearing that it may have been injured by nearby mowers the fawn was brought to our Animal Care Center for evaluation.

Animal Services personnel immediately transported the fawn to our great partners at the Florida Wildlife Hospital who examined it and found the fawn to have no injuries or other health concerns.

Team members then took the fawn back to the area where a concerned mother was eagerly searching for her baby. The fawn was quickly reunited with her mother and away they went!

I would like to thank the concerned workers for checking on the fawn, our BCSO Animal Services Team for their actions to help pets in our community and the incredible staff at the Florida Wildlife Hospital for everything they do to protect the beautiful animals that we all share here in Brevard County.
