“This year the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office and Veterans Memorial Center are partnering together to host the “Merritt Island Independence Day Parade” that will start at Edgewood Jr./Sr. High School and travel to the Veterans Memorial Center.

The parade is an opportunity to bring your family and join the community in celebrating the independence of our great nation while also enjoying some incredible floats, military vehicles, music and various units from the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office including our Mounted Posse, Ag/Marine Unit, Animal Services, Explorers, K-9’s, Corrections Team, Motor Unit, and of course I will be there with my favorite K-9, “Junny!!”

After the parade you can join us at the Veterans Memorial Center for some hamburgers and hotdogs and other refreshments so I look forward to seeing everyone there on July 4th at 10:00 as we all celebrate America and everything it stands for!”
