UPDATE: The Florida Highway Patrol has announced that  State Road 407 is now open after a shutdown on both sides in Brevard County because of visibility concerns from a brush fire in Titusville on Monday.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Forest Service is currently working to contain a five-acre brush fire on Monday that has forced officials to shut down State Road 407.

Officials have named the brush fire “Turkey Point”

Brevard County Fire Rescue and Titusville Fire Department are currently on scene and working to extinguish the blaze.
