Intensive Outpatient Program expands access to outpatient mental health treatment across the region

Palm Point Behavioral Health Hospital in Titusville recently celebrated its one-year anniversary serving the residents of the Space Coast. The comprehensive facility features an Intensive Outpatient Program that expands access to outpatient mental health treatment across the region.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Palm Point Behavioral Health Hospital in Titusville recently celebrated its one-year anniversary serving the residents of the Space Coast of Florida.

The comprehensive facility features an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) that expands access to outpatient mental health treatment across the region.

Palm Point Behavioral Health is located at 2355 Truman Scarborough Way in Titusville and provides mental health services for those suffering from a diagnosis such as Depression, Anxiety, Attention Deficit Disorder, Bi-Polar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder to name a few.

“Palm Point Behavioral Health is addressing the growing need for outpatient behavioral healthcare and will continue serving the community with these expanded services,” said Thomas Mahle, M.S., Chief Executive Officer.

Palm Point Behavioral Health Hospital accepts patients ages 5-17 years old as well as adults over 18 years old, and has opened an outpatient program, Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for adolescents and adults.

The facility is a Joint Commissioned Accredited Hospital and Baker Act Receiving facility.

The hospital provides a dedicated child and adolescent unit and separate adult units offering specialized treatment for individuals experiencing behavioral health issues such as depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis and other mental health issues as well as being a Baker Act Receiving Facility.

The dietary staff of John, Frankie, Karen and Julie created a delicious buffet, complete with a Palm Point Behavioral Health one-year anniversary cake.

Palm Point Behavioral Health is a 74-bed behavioral health facility designed to be a resource for our community.

“We create a healing environment for patients whose behavioral health symptoms are interfering with their daily lives. said Mahle.

“It is our goal to provide excellent behavioral health care for you, your family, friends and neighbors. We provide inpatient and outpatient services for children, adolescents, adults and seniors.”

The hospital is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and provides free assessments for those needing services.
