Longtime Brevard County Emergency Management Director Kimberly Prosser has resigned her position, effective June 5. She has been the director of Brevard County Emergency Management since 2012.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Longtime Brevard County Emergency Management Director Kimberly Prosser has resigned her position, effective June 5.

Prosser has been the director of Brevard County Emergency Management since 2012, and prior to that, she served as the director of SCGTV/Communications from 2005 to 2012.

As the Director of Emergency Management for Brevard County she oversaw the countywide 800 MHz public safety radio system, 911 system, address assignment, and emergency management operations including preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation.

Prosser was the community relations and marketing manager of Brevard Community College 1993 to 2005 and communications training officer for the Cocoa Police Department 1989 through 1994.

She is a Brevard County native with a background in public safety and public relations and holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Central Florida, and is a former Rockledge City Council member.
