ABOVE VIDEO: Teejay Griffin talks about his senior year at Rockledge High School, the injury that changed it all, and his incredible courage and tenacity that allowed him to fight back and regain his strength.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Former Rockledge Raider Teejay Griffin talked sat down with the Friday Night Locker Room to talk about his senior year and the injury from a car incident in September that changed the course of his senior.

Griffin talked about his incredible courage and tenacity that allowed him to fight back and regain his strength after the incident resulted in him ripping his urethra cord and fracturing his hips in three places.

Teejay was recently selected as the Courage Award recipient for the 2020 Breakfast of Champions.

“I hope to be on someone’s football next year,” said Griffin. “I have a ways to go physically, but mentally I’m there.”

Griffin mentioned he’s looking to become a neurologist after college.

“Before this incident, I was looking to major in business. However, after this incident, I notice there isn’t many neurologists around here, so I’m looking into that profession now.”

Friday Night Locker Room’s Orville Susong and Steve Wilson conducted the interview with Teejay on the practice football field at Rockledge High School.
