24/7 Sports Releases Updated List of College Football’s Top 25 Programs This Decade

(24/7 SPORTS) – You’re only as good as your last title. In college football, the lack of parity among the elites means there’s very little wiggle room at the top of the throne, and one lackluster campaign by program standards can lead to public doubt with respect to other perennial heavyweights.

Bill Bender of The Sporting News recently updated his list of college football’s Top 25 programs of the decade using a formula created under a points system.

Categories to acquire points include national championships (10 points each), national title game appearances (5 points), College Football Playoff appearances (5 points), New Year’s Day Six/BCS bowl appearances (3 points) and Heisman Trophy winners (2 points).
