BREVARD COVID-19 UPDATE: Space Coast Reports 608 Coronavirus Cases, 16 Deaths

CORONAVIRUS BREVARD UPDATE: Brevard County Commissioner Chairman Bryan Lober and MedFast Urgent Care’s Dr. David Williams discuss the latest developments regarding COVID-19 from a government point of view and medical point of view. Video aired on Friday.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County has reported 608 cases of COVID-19 as of Tuesday afternoon, according to the Florida Department of Health.

According to the Florida Department of Health, the demographic breakdown of the age of those testing positive ranges from 1 to 94, with the median age being 58 years of age, and 48 percent are male and 52 percent are female.

The current Brevard list includes 597 Florida residents and 11 non-residents.

Brevard COVID-19 cases requiring hospitalization is 79. Sixteen deaths have been reported as a result of COVID-19 in Brevard County.

The Florida Department of Health reports 31,408 tests have been administered in Brevard County. According to Tuesday’s report, 30,798 of those tests have come back negative.

The Florida Department of Health has reported a total of 80,109 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state out of 1,461,297 tests done statewide with 12,206 hospitalized.

Deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Florida are 2,993 as of Tuesday.

In the U.S., over 2,124,155 million confirmed cases have been reported and 116,567 deaths have been attributed to COVID-19. Global cases reported are 8,085,932 with 438,453 global deaths.
