SpaceX Scrubs Falcon 9 Rocket Launch from Kennedy Space Center, More Pre-Launch Checkouts Needed

BREVARD COUNTY • KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FLORIDA – SpaceX announced the Falcon 9 rocket launch on Friday has been postponed due to ‘additional pre-launch checkouts needed’.

New launch day and time will be announced in the coming days, SpaceX says.

The mission will be carrying Starlink 9 from Kennedy Space Center’s historic LC-39A. It will be the tenth batch of satellites designated for SpaceX’s Starlink broadband network.

Following first stage separation, SpaceX will attempt to recover the first stage booster engine on drone ship ‘Of Course, I Still Love You’ stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.

The launch has previously been pushed back Monday, June 22, Tuesday, June 23, and Thursday, June 25.
