BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket successfully launched from Cape Canaveral on Tuesday carrying Global Positioning System (GPS) Space Vehicle 03.

The rocket lifted off at 4:10 p.m.

The launch carried the U.S. Air Force’s third-generation navigation satellite for the Global Positioning System (GPS).

Following first stage separation, SpaceX successfully recovered the main rocket booster on the drone ship ‘Of Course, I Still Love You’ stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.
