BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue wished Assistant Chief Michael Zocchi a happy and healthy retirement.

Mike dedicated 27 years of his life serving the citizens of Brevard County and another 4 years in Osceola County.

He served in a number of capacities and assignments including Firefighter/Paramedic, Lieutenant, and District Chief; his last assignment as the Assistant Chief of Professional Development which encompasses training, Human Resources, and employee development.

He also did a brief stint in Public Safety during BCFR’s succession planning and development period.

Mike served as union president for the Brevard County Professional Firefighters Local 2969 for a number of years when he was a District Chief.
