Cadet charged with trafficking in fentanyl, trafficking in cocaine, trafficking in MDMA and Sale of Cocaine

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit addressed a citizen concern last week with the investigation of a suspected drug dealer.

The investigation subsequently led to the arrest of 33-year-old Leslie Cadet of Melbourne after our team conductive an investigation into the sale of cocaine from his residence.

Cadet was charged with trafficking in fentanyl, trafficking in cocaine, trafficking in MDMA and the Sale of Cocaine.

He was taken to the Brevard County Jail Complex on a no-bond status with additional charges pending.

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit addressed a citizen concern last week with the investigation of a suspected drug dealer. On July 1, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team assisted agents with the execution of a search warrant, which resulted in the seizure of 97 grams of cocaine, 47 grams of MDMA and 7 grams of fentanyl. $4,600 was also seized. The investigation began when agents assigned to the Special Investigations Unit received information that Cadet was selling cocaine from his residence.

Agents were able to purchase cocaine from Cadet at the residence located on Tropic Road, Melbourne. Further testing of the cocaine purchased from Cadet determined it was laced with fentanyl.

On July 1, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team assisted agents with the execution of a search warrant, which resulted in the seizure of 97 grams of cocaine, 47 grams of MDMA and 7 grams of fentanyl.

In addition to the drugs, two semi-automatic handguns and $4,600 were seized.

As Sheriff, I am extremely proud of everyone involved in this investigation to protect our community.

Those who prey upon the addictions of others for their own greed only belong in one place, the Brevard County Jail.
