SEVERE WEATHER BRINGS HEAVY RAIN, LIGHTNING

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – It was one of those afternoons that we had to use four of the eight TAC channels at the same time due to weather-related calls.

Brevard County Fire Rescue had four lightning strikes to structures resulting in damage from small fires to damaged shingles and electronics.

A special shout out to our communications center for their ability to juggle multiple calls in a short period of time. True heroes.

Thanks to an alert neighbor for climbing to the roof of the home with a garden hose, preventing further extension into the attic.
