Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Cletis Jones Retires After 30 Years of Public Service

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office recognized and honored Deputy Cletis Jones, who retires after 30 years of dedicated public service.

“Earlier today our team wished a very happy retirement to Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Cletis Jones who has enjoyed an incredible career with our agency,” said Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey.

Throughout his time with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Jones created a legacy of professionalism, compassion and care for Brevard County citizens as he served in many different roles, each positively impacting the lives of others.

Jones joined the Sheriff’s Office in 1990 and has proudly served Brevard County and the Sheriff’s Department with 30 years of service.

He was originally assigned to the Brevard County Jail Complex where he was an exceptional member of the team and was later dual sworn as a Deputy Sheriff serving in our then Central Precinct.

Jones also spent time mentoring children as a School Resource Officer and was later assigned to Court Services where he remained until his retirement earlier this morning.

“Cletis is truly a friend to everyone he meets and will be missed by our entire agency and community,” said Sheriff Ivey.

“Please join me in congratulating Cletis for his incredible commitment and dedication to our agency and citizens.”
