UCF’s Junior Ana Laura Collado Places T13 at Florida State Golf Association Women’s Open

ORLANDO, FLORIDA  – Ana Laura Collado placed T13 at the Florida State Golf Association Women’s Open over the weekend.

The junior shot a collective 215 (+1) across the 54-hole tournament in Bradenton, Fla.

“I am proud of the way I played after being out of competition for 5 months” Ana Laura Collado had to say about her FSGA Women’s Open performance. “This summer was different but I got to practice more than ever, and I can’t wait to get back on the course with the entire UCF team.”

The first and third rounds of the FSGA Women’s Open was played at the Bradenton Country Club, a 6245 yard, par 71 course; while the second round was played at the 6281 yard Lakewood National Golf Club, a par 72 course.

Collado played her best rounds of the Championship at the Bradenton Country Club, carding a 70 (-1) in Friday’s round, and a 71 (E) in Sunday’s final round. Between the two rounds, Collado collected nine birdies, and shot an eagle on the par 5, 15th hole on Sunday.

The Xalapa, Mexico native shot +2 in the second round with a 74 at Lakewood National Golf Course, where she picked up two birdies and parred 12 holes.

Sophomore and Seminole, Fla. native Alyssa Lamoureux also competed in the FSGA Women’s Open over the weekend. Lamoureux shot +9 across the first two rounds and did not make the cut heading into the final round on Sunday.
