Cocoa Police Department Recognize K9 Heroes ‘Bear’ and ‘Cooper’ for Outstanding Service, Dedication

K9 Bear received the Garland Gilman Award

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Cocoa Police Department’s very own “America’s Top Dog” is back at it again as K9 Bear and Officer Rhoades just completed training with Old Dominion K-9, courtesy of Brevard Kennel Club.

Bear received the Garland Gilman Award for the outstanding service and dedication to the Search and Rescue Community.

‘”Our team was recognized for performing above and beyond,” said Cocoa police officials. “We are so proud of you #TeamBear.”

K9 Copper also completed this training with Officer Gray and is now tracking certified.

“Congratulations to our K9 heroes and thank you Brevard Kennel Club for sponsoring our teams,” said Cocoa police officials.
