COCOA POLICE: Woman Dies After Suffering Multiple Gunshot Wounds, Detectives Seeking Suspect

Cocoa police detectives are currently investigating a homicide that occurred early Tuesday evening at about 6 p.m. Detectives are currently interviewing witnesses, gathering physical evidence, and following leads. The identity of the victim is being withheld to protect the integrity of the investigation.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Cocoa police detectives are currently investigating a homicide that occurred early Tuesday evening at about 6 p.m.

According to Yvonne Martinez, Cocoa Police Public Information Officer, police dispatchers received multiple 911 calls in which witnesses reported a shooting at 1080 N. Fiske Boulevard.

“When officers arrived, a female victim was found with multiple gunshot wounds,” said Martinez.

“Officers attempted to render aid until medics arrived. The female was taken to the hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.”

Detectives are currently interviewing witnesses, gathering physical evidence, and following leads. The identity of the victim is being withheld to protect the integrity of the investigation.
