The centers include the Tony Rosa Community Center, located at 1502 Port Malabar Boulevard NE and the Ted Whitlock Community Center, located at 1951 Malabar Road NW.

New protective measures will be implemented at the community centers to limit the spread of COVID-19.

Staff will clean and sanitize all frequently touched items and surfaces including work areas, door handles, tables, chairs, and equipment before opening each morning.

Periodic spot cleaning and sanitation will also take place throughout the day. Water will remain shut off to all water fountains and showers.

Patrons utilizing the weight and cardio rooms will be required to bring their own sanitizing items to clean after each use. Staff will be cleaning those items throughout the day as well.

Staff will also perform temperature checks on each patron entering the facility. Face masks will be worn by all staff members when physical distancing cannot be observed.

Patrons must wear masks upon entering the facility and while working with staff at the front counter. Guests in need of a mask may request a disposable mask at the front desk.

Masks are strongly encouraged while utilizing the facility (weight rooms, open gym, classes, etc.) unless physical distancing cannot be observed.

Business hours at both community centers will be Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The community centers will be closed on Sundays and on holidays.
