Brevard County Parks and Recreation Now Accepting Applications for Holiday Parades Starting Dec. 5

Brevard County Parks and Recreation is now taking applications for the Merritt Island and Cocoa/Rockledge Holiday Parades.

BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Brevard County Parks and Recreation is now taking applications for the Merritt Island and Cocoa/Rockledge Holiday Parades.

The 2020 parade theme is Holiday Movies. Mindy from “Mike and Mindy in the Morning” Lite Rock 99.3, will emcee the parades.

The Merritt Island Holiday Parade will be held Saturday, Dec. 5, with step-off at 10 a.m.

The parade will travel from Grove Boulevard at Merritt Island High School, south on Courtenay Parkway (SR-3) to Edgewood Junior/Senior High School on Merritt Avenue, Merritt Island, FL.

The Cocoa/Rockledge Holiday Parade will be held on Saturday, Dec. 12, with step-off at 3 p.m.

The parade will travel north on Florida Avenue at Rockledge High School to Brevard Avenue and conclude at Lee Wenner Park, Cocoa, FL.

Parades will be held in accordance with State and Local government guidelines regarding Covid-19; face coverings, social distancing (when applicable) and a completed Covid-19 Indemnification form will be required for all registered participants in staging areas and throughout the duration of the parade.
