BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Meet Officer Moderson.

This photo was taken on his birthday last year as he enjoyed a birthday treat.

A local Brevard County resident was so impressed with Officer Moderson she took the time to send Cocoa Police Department a note about a recent interaction she and her children had with the officer.

Here is what she wrote:

“I was just walking my 1-year-old and 3-year old son around the block when one of your officers drove by. He said “Hello” on his speaker and turned his lights on for the boys. He then parked his car and gave my boys a police badge and a rubber ducky. He told my 3-year-old he is now “Officer Bubba”. I find this absolutely amazing. He took 5 minutes out of his day for my boys and he has no idea how much that meant for my 3-year-old. He has always wanted to see a cop up close and talk to a cop. Unfortunately, my son keeps trying to arrest me and his younger brother now because he says he has “the power”. Thank you Cocoa PD!”

“We hope this makes you smile the same way it made us smile,” said Cocoa Police Department.
