(24 7 SPORTS) – The New York Jets have had a completely disastrous 2020 season — at least, for the fans that want them to win rather than tank for Clemson star quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
At 0-5 entering Sunday, the Jets are probably the worst team in the NFL and will be 0-6 this week after another blowout loss, this time to the Miami Dolphins. Only the New York Giants can truly rival their ineptitude.
Former Florida defensive back Marcus Maye is taking on more responsibility this season now that the Jets traded All-Pro safety Jamal Adams to the Seattle Seahawks, as Maye is a team captain and will try to build on a 2019 season in which he started all 16 games, made 65 tackles and defended seven passes.
And Maye made a play on Sunday that will be a rare bright spot for the Jets this season.
