ABOVE VIDEO: Herbert “Rip” Dyal is a 2020 candidate for Cocoa City Council District 3. Dyal has been an active volunteer on the City of Cocoa’s Board of Adjustment since 2008 and was a regular volunteer at the Cocoa Police Community Thrift Shop.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Herbert “Rip” Dyal is a 2020 candidate for Cocoa City Council District 3.

Dyal has been an active volunteer on the City of Cocoa’s Board of Adjustment since 2008 and was a regular volunteer at the Cocoa Police Community Thrift Shop.

He is not only an active volunteer with the City, he is an active citizen as well.  Rip graduated from Cocoa High School in 1980 and works for Cocoa business, Guardian Manufacturing.

The Dyal family has a long history in the City of Cocoa.

Rip’s great uncle, Claude H. Dyal was the former City Manager for the City of Cocoa and responsible for the development of the city’s water treatment plant, which was named after him.

Rip served six years in the United States Air Force, is married and has one daughter.  He enjoys to travel, play golf and is even known to play some video games! .

He is also an active member of the Moose Lodge, a member of the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars and a member of the Brevard Kennel Club where he is an active volunteer at a number of dog shows.

For his dedication and commitment to his community and to the City of Cocoa, Rip was unanimously named the 2018 Volunteer of the Year and was recognized by Cocoa City Council.
